3 months can sounds like a long time if you are waiting for something great to happen. But when you have a lot to do in that time frame, it seems like the days fly by quicker than usual. So goes the saying, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” However, the older I get the more I think the saying should be: “Time flies when you have a lot of stuff to get done in a short amount of time.”
As the clock runs down to my next big milestone, I have become more intentional of seeking out those precious moments and savoring them. It can be difficult to do and it take a lot of time management to carve out some time for reflection, but it is worth it.
May you be encouraged as you look in the face of deadlines and find a few moments to savour the precious part of the day. Sometimes we can be in such a hurry for the next thing that we fail to recognize the good that stares us in the face. Whether it is a smile, an inspirational quote, a joke with a friend–these are the great things that can happen in our life each day. If you don’t see them, then go out of your way to make them happen for someone else.
Let’s stop counting down and start living. When you change your perspective, you soon realize that great things happen more frequently than you ever imagined.
